1. Does anyone have a testimony to share from this week of how God has been at work in your prayers?

Engage:  Look into the Word of God in light of Sunday’s preached sermon.

2. Read Acts 2:1-13 as a group and discuss your initial observations of the text.

Reflect: Look deeper at the preached and written Word.

3. How does understanding the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an immediate result of salvation (rather than a later experience) impact your view of your own spiritual life?

4. What is the connection between being filled with the Holy Spirit and telling about the mighty works of God?

5. How does understanding the progression from Babel to Pentecost to the future worship described in Revelation 7:9 shape your view of God’s redemptive plan for humanity?

6. In what ways might pragmatism be influencing the modern church (or even your personal interactions with the world), and how can we guard against compromising biblical truth for the sake of results?
