Recap: Look back for evidence of God’s word reshaping your heart and life. Does anyone have a testimony to share with the group of how you applied last week’s “Respond” section? Engage: Look into the Word of God in light of Sunday’s preached sermon. Read the passage from Ephesians 3:14-21 as a group and discuss your initial observations. Reflect: Look deeper at the preached and written Word. How might recognizing our spiritual poverty and desperation change our approach to prayer and our relationship with God? In what ways can we balance acknowledging our unworthiness with embracing the ‘boldness and access with confidence’ we have through Christ? In what ways can we cultivate a deeper sense of worship in our prayer life, beyond just asking for things? What does it mean to be ‘filled with all the fullness of God,’ and how can we actively pursue this in our spiritual journey? Reflect on the challenges of speaking God’s truth with authority in an “anti-authority age.” How can we balance boldness with love and compassion? Respond: Choose one or two of the following applications of Sunday’s message and commit to it/them this next week. This week, start each prayer by worshiping God for His character, salvation, and the riches of His glory. Choose one “big ask” to consistently pray for this week, trusting in God’s ability to do more than we can imagine. Find a prayer partner in the group to pray with regularly, focusing on being “rooted and grounded in love” together. Write down daily how you see God’s love and power at work in your life, no matter how small it may seem. As a group, commit to praying for your church and community, asking God to display His glory through you.
