Christ-Connection: The King is coming, do not miss Him. Recap: What changes did you make last week to show more compassion towards others? Engage: After reading Luke 19:28-44, describe as many attributes of Jesus as you can. Take a quick look at one or two of the other Gospel accounts of the triumphal entry (Matt. 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, and John 12:12-19) and discuss the details that different authors chose to bring to light. Reflect: What actions can you take to ensure you do not miss God’s pursuit of you? What evidence do you see of humanity’s longing for peace, and how are the world’s substitutes failing to satisfy? Respond: Caleb said, “How you respond to Jesus on the colt is how He will respond to you on the White Horse.” Do you see Jesus’ return as a message of peace or condemnation? Like the people who laid down their cloaks and praised Jesus (Luke 19:35;37-38), how are you going to show excitement/honor towards Jesus this week? How might you share the news of peace with others?
