The new Eden awaits! Christ-Connection: God cursed Jesus on the cross so none of us would have His curse fall upon us. Recap: (Talk about last week) How has your week been impacted by knowing that you are God’s treasured possession? Engage: (Observe the passage and engage with the text) Read Revelation 22:1-5 and Genesis 2 and discuss how the original Eden compares to the new Eden described in today’s sermon? Describe, as many ways as you can, how both of these Eden’s compare to the world today? Reflect: (Reflect upon the key take-aways from the sermon) Richard described “types” as pointers in the Old Testament that point us to a greater thing that God would accomplish in the New Testament. Examples are Ezekiel 47 pointing to Revelation 22:1,2. Give examples of other “types” that you can find in scripture. Richard said “when we choose disobedience, we are trading pleasure for pain”.
